Mom, let’s buy some mung beans! (妈妈,买绿豆!)

I love reading stories, and I thought this story goes very well with Chinese 1.  The story is really easy,  short, and there's not a lot of vocabulary.   So, let's click the link above to go to the publisher's website for the story.  There's a video to follow while you listen and read along with the PDF document.  If you wish to listen to the story all the time, you can download the mp3 audio from the Better Chinese website, and listen to it all you want.

Here are the questions related to this story.  Please answer them in Chinese if possible:
1. What's the name of the main character? What does he want his mother to buy?2  When are the mung beans ready to be cooked? What do you have to do first?
3. What do you need to put in the mung bean soup before eating?
4. What did the boy do with one uncooked mung bean?  What happened to it?
5. Please read along with the video until you are able to record it on your own.
6. Can you write a short story of your own in Chinese?  (Your story should be less than 150 words total!) - this portion of the assignment can be completed with an assigned partner.

The final product needs to be handwritten with a title page, including the author & illustrator's name, and the year of publication. Your story book production should be at least 5 pages, with five different pictures for illustrations.  Grading Rubric will be provided in class.

Thank you. 谢谢! Xièxie!
